Alana is a CAPS and CMS Sommelier and holds certifications in French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Scholar, and Bourgogne master’s from the Wine Scholar Guild, WSET L3, Certified Sherry Sommelier and a Chianti Classico Educator. Alana has travelled extensively in wine regions, studying abroad and works to import niche products into Halifax.
She is an active Sommelier and General Manager at The Ostrich Club and Little Oak Bar, and runs a wine subscription focused on low intervention, exclusive wines, Crushpad.
Alana has been teaching with the CAPS AC program since 2018 and when she’s not tasting, teaching, writing, buying or judging wine, she’s with her pug, Buffy.
