Join us Wednesday May 15th at The Port by NSLC as we take a dive into our local oyster merroir. Hosted by Brad George of True Oyster Raw Bar with pairings by Brodie Cook of Harvest Beer Wine Spirits.
Includes welcome bubbles, a flight of oyster varieties with Champagne pairings
For hundreds of years the cold, salty waters of Atlantic Canada have produced sought after oysters and seafood that showcases some of the freshest, brightest, most merroir driven flavours on the continent.
This tasting is all about transforming the way we think of oysters. We’ll look at the specific local merroirs of the Atlantic provinces, the incredible oysters found within them, as well as chat about what it takes to become a discerning oyster connoisseur and proveryer.
Join local Chef and CAPS student Brad George as he leads us through each oysters backstory, what makes them unique and how to best work with and enjoy these incredible products.
Each region and oyster is expertly paired by CAPS Certified Sommelier & well known lover of sparkling wines Brodie Cook, taking us deeper into one of the most well known and appreciated pairings, oysters and Champagne.
