Mark is currently the National President of CAPS and a Past President of CAPS – Atlantic. An honours graduate of the International Sommelier Guild (ISG), he has instructed professional sommelier certification courses since 2004 and has held senior editorial positions with online and print publications, including Occasions Magazine, Appellation America and CRU by CAPS. Prior to becoming a sommelier and wine educator, Mark worked with some of the country’s finest chefs, gaining expertise in food and recipe development. He is currently the Creative Director, Food and Drink at The Saltwire Network, Atlantic Canada’s largest media group. He also operates Saltwire Connect, a customer engagement company focused on tastings and events. He is further Director of Sponsorship for Tasting Climate Change and Femmes du Vin. And finally a father of 3 wonderful children.
